# A one-day Seminar on "Recent Developments in Biomedical Engineering", organized by College of Biomedical Engineering & Applied    Sciences(CBEAS) was held on July 3rd, 2017 at Alfa House, New Baneshwor. Chief Guest the Dean of faculty of Science &Technology, Purbanchal     University Prof. Shubhanarayan Pathak inaugurated the session by Lighting of Panas. Associate Professor of Liverpool University Dr. Nicholas     Rhodes delivered his keynote speech on "Repair of Musculoskeletal System". Renowned Neurosurgeon Dr Basanta Panta and Plastic surgeon Prof.     Dr Ishwor Lohani presented their work during first session whereas Associate Dean of Kathmandu University Prof. Deepak Subedi and Research     Director of Nepal Medical College Prof. Shiba Kumar Rai presented their paper on the second session of the seminar. Two of our students Apekshya     Sharma & Niraj Silwal also presented their ongoing final year project works. Prof. Dr Ashok Bajracharya, Prof. Dr Bidur Osti and Dr Shyam Lohani     chaired the scientific sessions.

# CBEAS was awarded with a Accrediation Certificate from UGC amidst a function held at UGC premises on 2073.09.12 (27 Dec,2016).

# College of Biomedical Engineering & Applied Sciences got BEST COLLEGE award among private affiliated colleges of Nepal.  Minister of Education Mr. Dhaniram Poudel and State Minister Ms. Dhanamaya B.K.(Khanal) handed over the certificate and cheque worth NPR 2,50,000.00 to the principal and vice principal of CBEAS.
